DESCRIPTION:Learn how to creatively mend your clothes and refashion thrift 
 store finds\, and keep fabric items out of the landfill. In this class\, G
 aby will demonstrate fashionable mending stitches and techniques\, and how
  to repurpose garments. A list of vintage\, thrift and second hand stores 
 in Santa Cruz County and a supply resource list will be provided. \n\n  Th
 ere will be hands-on opportunities to try some of these techniques. Fabric
  and supplies will be provided. You are also welcome to bring a piece from
  your own wardrobe to work on.  \n\n  TBE member Gaby Litsky is an experie
 nced quilter and sewer and has pursued art quilting for many years. She ha
 s started to explore techniques for repurposing garments instead of sendin
