The United Nations international day of peace is observed globally every year on September 21. Established in 1981 by the UN General assembly. It is dedicated to strengthening the ideals of peace, observing a 24 hour period of nonviolence and cease-fire, and promoting a culture of harmony among all nations.

Self-organized small group meditation moments are encouraged throughout the day for us to consider dedicating our lives to peace through equity and justice.
