Get ready to learn about the birds of Santa Cruz County and the lessons they offer with author Sophie Wood Brinker. Wood Brinker will lead a book talk and bird walk event at Natural Bridges Visitor Center and ParkStore from 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Before the bird walk, she'll discuss her new birding guide, "Birds of Santa Cruz," at the Visitor Center, answer questions from bird enthusiasts and sign books.
