DESCRIPTION:The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle)
  will be holding a public information session (see public notice) on April
  6\, 2026\, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (PT).\n\nThis information session will
  focus on the SB 54 Statewide Needs Assessment and methodology and finding
 s related to source reduction goals including reuse and refill. CalRecycle
  staff will present on the following reports: Current State of Source Redu
 ction\, An Analysis of Actions and Investments Needed to Achieve Source Re
 duction and selected portions of the Consumer Education and Access report 
 as it relates to reuse and refill. The purpose of the information session 
 is to discuss the recent Needs Assessment publications to support implemen
 tation of the Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Producer Responsi
 bility Act [Senate Bill (SB) 54 (Allen\, Chapter 75\, Statutes of 2022)].\
