Due to the persistent efforts of Climate Health Now members and our allies we have been able to secure meetings with 6 of our elected representatives, which means we're halfway to our goal of 15 meetings to ask them to join the elected officials sign-on letter for protecting our lands! Our ultimate goal is to secure 50-100 signatures on Elected Officials to Protect America's opposition letter. (Please let us know if you want coaching to schedule a meeting with your reps.)

In case you missed it, we are organizing these meetings because Trump's Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is paving the way to open over 1 million acres of our public lands in California to new, toxic oil and gas drilling leases-- from the Bay Area to the Central Valley and Ventura county-- and we're building the coalition to stop their plans-- just like they averted new offshore drilling leases in the Southeast US a couple months ago.

As a next step in our campaign, on Thursday, February 5th from 12:30-1:30pm we are continuing our opposition efforts by submitting comments in real-time together on the Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement and will discuss next steps in our campaign.
