The Current State and Future of Rooftop Solar in California

The sun belongs to everyone, and every human being on this planet has the right to collect the sun's energy to power their lives. Today, two million California households, farms, schools, and businesses are using solar panels to make energy. This is the energy equivalent of 9 Hoover Dams!

However, we are just scratching the surface. It is estimated that there's at least ten million additional roofs and parking lots in California that could be generating solar energy—the capacity equivalent of 100 giant solar power plants in the desert but without the expensive poles and wires that drive up utility bills and spark wildfires.
