Every community across the United States faces impacts on their health and well-being, such as pollution of air, water, and soil and extreme events such as wildfires and major storms. Stressors such as poverty, limited access to healthcare, and unemployment can heighten effects of these impacts on communities. On the other hand, community resources that promote health and well-being can lessen them.
