DESCRIPTION:CAL STATE PARKS: LIGHTHOUSE FIELD STATE BEACH HABITAT RESTORATI
 ON\,  JAN 4\, 9 AM – NOON\n\nSupport habitat restoration of popular day-
 use areas and trails! We will be planting native species and removing non-
 native vegetation. Target non-native species are Himalayan blackberry (Rub
 us armeniacus) and Ice plant (Carpobrotus edulis). Volunteers will wear gl
 oves and use hand tools such as hori horis\, pulaskis\, hand clippers\, \n
 \nhand loppers to remove encroaching vegetation around plantings. We will 
 employ 5-gallon buckets or other water-carrying equipment to transfer wate
 r to the planting areas. Ages 8 and older are welcome (minors must be acco
