I've been enjoying the islands for several days with filmmaker John Bowey, eco-restorationist par excellence Dennis Garrity, and my colleague Julia Dederer.

For John's important documentary series, The Climate Restorers, we spent an afternoon filming on the slopes of Mt. Pinatubo.

Yes, that Pinatubo! The one that erupted in 1991, causing well-known global dimming and temperature decreases.
