The Democratic Women's Club will host a talk on climate change at 11 a.m. Saturday on Zoom.
The event includes initiatives and updates on the federal, state, county and city level and features talks by panelists Assemblyman Mark Stone, Tiffany Wise-West, David Reid and Elissa Benson.
Stone will speak to the state's climate action plan, its implementation, and how initiatives by the Biden Administration at the federal level will impact that process.
Wise-West, the Santa Cruz city's climate change coordinator will speak to the city's response to climate change issues.
David Reid, of Santa Cruz County's Office of Resilience, Recovery, and Response, will discuss efforts on the county level.
Elissa Benson, assistant county administrative officer, will focus on the county's climate action plan.
This forum is free and open to the public. A Question-& - Answer session about the state and local response to the challenge of climate change will follow the panelists.
