Democracy in America is currently challenged on many fronts, including an increasingly divided electorate, hyper partisanship, and the ongoing risk of foreign interference.
But beyond these concerns, the underlying machinery of democracy itself faces a broad range of threats, including insecure and unverifiable voting systems, gerrymandering, and voter suppression.
