Walk with us!
— on the first in our series of Salinas River walks, May 11, 2019, 11 am.
We will start at the former mouth of the Salinas River at Moss Landing. Meet at the North end of the Salinas River State Beach, at the Moss Landing Entrance and Parking Lot, Rte.1 to Moss Landing Rd. to Sandholdt Rd.
This spring and summer we are planning a series of walks along sections of the Salinas River to talk about "common-ness": what it might mean, how to negotiate uncommon concerns (what we don't share but can recognize in and for each other), and how we might work together to counter the forces of individualism and privatization that are destroying those vital aspects of life that we might agree we all need and want to achieve access to for all.
The Salinas River situates our conversations in local terrain and helps us to remain focused on local issues.
