On Sunday, April 7th AMLT, Sempervirens Fund, and the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe are hosting a tending day in the ethnobotanical demonstration garden at the new Robert C. Kirkwood Entrance to Castle Rock State Park. Volunteers will be planting, weeding, mulching, and learning about native plants from tribal members. This is a special opportunity to preview the new park entrance before it opens, and get to know our newest garden.
Activities are moderately strenuous and will include planting on sloped/uneven terrain. Please bring a bag lunch and water, and wear closed toe shoes and appropriate attire for working outside.
We will have nature connection activities for children, whom can also help tend the garden.
