Description:
NUHW: STANDING UP FOR PATIENTS AND WORKERS
California's mental health system is in crisis, and healthcare workers are fighting back. A series of short films highlight the efforts of workers in Santa Cruz and across California to organize for living wages and reasonable working conditions. The flashpoint of the struggle is Janus of Santa Cruz, the county's largest drug rehabilitation center, where clients' treatment suffers because workers are barely paid above minimum wage and struggle to make ends meet.
