Come join us this month for a day of gardening at our Mutsun garden at Pie Ranch!
Volunteer work days at Pie Ranch (MAP) are held on the third Saturday of every month, from 1:00-5:00 pm. The next volunteer day at Pie Ranch is Saturday, July 21st. Please RSVP for this workday by emailing Dominic Lopez-Toney at firstname.lastname@example.org">email@example.com. Volunteers are welcome to stay after the workday for a potluck and barn dance with Pie Ranch.
No experience is necessary to join us. Gloves and tools are provided but feel free to bring your own gloves or small gardening tools if you have them. You should also bring the food and water that you will need for the day, and wear clothing that will keep you comfortable outdoors and that you don't mind getting dirty.
The Mutsun gardens are Pie Ranch and San Juan Bautista State HistoricParkwere designed by the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band as educational tools that demonstrate native plants used as food, medicine, and materials for the Mustun people and serve as a visual reminder that the Amah Mutsun are still here and continue to value and maintain their ethnobotanical traditions. The gardens are also a material source for tribal members who wish to harvest and use culturally significant plants.
Volunteers play a huge role in helping the Mutsun gardens thrive. The Amah Mutsun Land Trust and Amah Mutsun Tribal Band are grateful for your support!
