The Sierra Club of Santa Cruz presents Trail with Transit
A presentation about the future of our publicly-owned, county rail corridor
We are all suffering from traffic, traffic and more traffic. As the planet heats up, how can we best use the existing, publicly-owned rail corridor to fight climate change, provide safe and affordable transportation and improve our collective quality of life?
Did you know the rail corridor runs from Davenport to Watsonville and is located within 1 mile of 44 schools, 92 parks and half our County's entire population?
Did you know the Trail will begin construction this year?
Did you know the entire Trail could be done in ten years?
Bring your curiosity and questions to this informative presentation on the Trail with Transit options.
This will be a short 15 minute presentation so please arrive by 7:00pm. The presentation is followed by a 60 minute question & answer period with a panel of experts.
Mark Mesiti-Miller - Our presenter. Mark has been involved in researching transit options for our rail corridor for 20 years. He is a Sierra Club Executive Committee member, Chair of Friends of the Rail & Trail and a professional Civil Engineer.
